Continuing Education for Caregivers is designed to help healthcare and caregiving professionals expand their knowledge, strengthen their skills, and stay current with industry standards and best practices. Students will review important caregiving topics such as infection control, communication, client safety, dementia care, professionalism, and supporting clients with daily living activities. The program helps caregivers maintain confidence and competence while providing high-quality, compassionate care in a variety of care settings.
Throughout the course, students will participate in learning activities that reinforce practical caregiving techniques, problem-solving skills, and professional responsibilities. Topics may also include cultural sensitivity, emergency preparedness, documentation, client rights, and recognizing changes in client conditions. Continuing education courses are designed to support ongoing professional growth while helping caregivers meet training requirements and improve the quality of care they provide.
The Certificate of Experience Program recognizes caregivers who have successfully completed key training programs and gained valuable hands-on caregiving experience. To qualify, participants must complete the Home Care Orientation & Safety Training, Home Care Basic Training, Mentorship Program, and Community Outreach Program, in addition to acquiring at least one year of caregiver work experience. The program is designed to acknowledge both educational achievement and practical experience in the caregiving field.
Throughout the program journey, students strengthen their knowledge in client care, safety practices, communication, professionalism, leadership, and community engagement. Participants gain real-world experience while applying the skills learned during training in actual caregiving environments. Upon completion, students receive a Certificate of Experience that demonstrates their commitment to professional growth, compassionate care, and continued development within the healthcare and caregiving industry.
Advanced Home Care Training is designed to build upon foundational caregiver knowledge by providing more in-depth instruction in client care, safety practices, communication, and professional caregiving responsibilities. Based on the combined Orientation & Safety and Basic Training curriculum, the program helps students strengthen their understanding of advanced caregiving concepts while improving confidence and practical caregiving skills.
Students will explore topics related to client support, infection prevention, mobility assistance, nutrition, emergency response, and maintaining safe care environments.
Throughout the program, students will participate in lessons and activities focused on critical thinking, problem-solving, and delivering high-quality care in a variety of home care settings. Additional areas of study may include dementia support, behavioral challenges, professional boundaries, documentation, teamwork, and recognizing changes in client conditions. The course is designed to help caregivers continue their professional development while preparing them for greater responsibilities within the caregiving and healthcare field.
